It's time for July's book review! July was a busy month, so there wasn't a lot of time for reading unfortunately! I did get to some of the ones that had been on my to read list for awhile. :)

Room by Emma Donoghue
I've talked about this one before, but wow! It's a strange book. It's not bad, but I didn't LOVE it either. It's just strange. The entire thing is written from the 5 year old's perspective and I just felt that by doing that, it limited the plot. For example, I would have loved to read from the mother's point of view or even Old Nick's (the person who kidnaps "Ma" when she's 19)

From This Moment by Lauren Barnholdt
This one was the last in the Moment of Truth series. It's a young adult book, and while I realize I am well past my teenage years, I love anything Lauren Barnholdt writes. This wasn't my favorite by this author, but I enjoyed all three books. It was a good, light summer read.

Eight Hundred Grapes by Laura Dave
My favorite of the month! I ordered this after seeing it on several summer must read lists. It's been sitting on my shelf since late May and I finally picked it up last week. I love, love, love this book! A girl returns home a week before her wedding after learning something new (and shocking!) about her fiance.

The Hypnotist's Love Story by Liane Moriarty
**Don't mind my neighbor's sweet dog. She wanted to get in the picture too!
I immediately picked this one up after reading The Husband's Secret, Big Little Lies, and What Alice Forgot. I liked this one, but it didn't hold a candle to the other ones by this author and I was kinda disappointed. Now I'm not sure about reading The Last Anniversary. Have y'all read it? Should I try it?

That was July's reads! What have you been reading? I'd love to hear!

In honor of National Lipstick Day, I wanted to share my favorites. Out of all makeup products, lipsticks are definitely my favorite. In fact, I'm a little obsessed with buying them. They're all just so pretty! Here are my absolute favorites, including my go to liner+color combo!

L to R: Maybelline Matte in Ravishing Rose; Mac's Up the Amp; Bare Minerals Pop of Passion in Candy Pop; Mac's Saint Germain; Maybelline Power Peony

This was the first product I've ever tried from Bare Minerals and I'm sold! This is a great lipstick for applying on the go throughout the day. I keep it in my purse and apply after lunch. It's got a creamy formula but isn't sheer, which I love!

I've already talked about how much I love this collection in this post. Power Peony is my favorite out of all of them. Maybelline is my go to drugstore lip color!

It looks a little scary in pictures, but this is a great shade for the fall. In fact, it's my favorite shade of plum. And nothing beats Mac's formula. They are my absolute favorite lipsticks.

I love light pink lipsticks even though they don't like me. I have to be very careful about not looking washed out when I wear a light pink. This one is my favorite shade of pale pink. It photographs darker than it wears.

This is the lipstick I reach for when I don't have a full face on and I just want a little something on my lips. I could do without the stinging though! I don't really see that my lips appear fuller when I wear this, but I don't use it for that so I'm good with it! :)

I can't tell you how many of these I've purchased. This will forever be my all time favorite lip color, hands down. I love, love, love this one! It's the perfect shade of pink and the best formula. I'm scraping the rest out of this one while I wait on a new one to arrive. Love!

Now these YSL lipsticks are in a league of their own. While most of the time I prefer the formula of Mac as opposed to these, when I do want a creamier, shiner finish nothing can beat YSL. I do not like the silver tubes, just the gold ones. I'm not sure the difference in the formula, but those are sheer and I'm not a fan of sheer lipsticks (especially ones as expensive as these!) And can we just talk about the packaging? Beyond gorgeous! The pricing is a bit too much, so I usually request a new shade for birthdays or Christmas. I currently own four and have them sitting prettily on my dresser. :)

This is my favorite. It's in the shade 8. It photographs darker than it is in real life. It's a pretty rose pink in person.

I knew if I were investing in these then I wanted a good red shade. This shade is 11. Red is a hard lipstick color to find for me. I'm not a huge fan of it because red is not my color, but when I do wear it I only wear this kind!

This one is very similar to Mac's Saint Germain. They are both a light pale pink, but the Mac formula is matte and this one is creamier. This shade is 7.

I got this peach one for Christmas last year. It's shade 13. Again, it photographs darker than in real life. In real life it's a pretty peachy almost nude color. Love!

This is my go to lip combo! I love a good lip liner and Mac has the best! The liner is in the shade "shock value" and I pair it with Maybelline's Ravishing Rose. The two pair extremely well together and I love them!

I know this is face primer, but I like using it as a lip primer! I got a sample size from a gift size during Christmas and it helps my lipstick go on a lot smoother.

What's your favorite lipstick? I'd love to hear them!

So you've probably seen this "tiffany blue" punch all over Pinterest. I did and I just had to try it out. It was said to taste like a jolly rancher and that is so true! It is delicious! I'm a picky eater/drinker and even I loved this punch. Simply add in equal parts blue Hawaiian Punch and County time Lemonade (after preparing the lemonade)  Such a refreshing treat on these hot summer days! :)

I want to know your favorite drink/punch recipes!

Hi y'all! So if you read this post, you know that my current obsession is agenda planning. I've been watching tons of Youtube videos on ways people decorate and organize their agenda and I just can't believe I didn't realize this hobby existed before now! I'm currently using my Lilly Pulitzer Jumbo Agenda, but since it runs out in December, I decided to go ahead and order an Erin Condren Life Planner. I've hear amazing things about it and I've also heard a lot of complaints, so I'm kinda nervous about it arriving. The one I picked out wasn't a ready to ship one (unfortunately), so it won't even ship until the 16th! I did pay for 2 day shipping though! :) :) I figured I would look on the bright side and spend the time before it gets here practicing decorating the agenda using the LP one.
I quickly realized that I needed some sort of system for setting up all my materials. I thought I would share what little I've gotten done so far. I still need a system for my washi tape and my stickers. I know a lot of you tubers using those file pouches from the Target Dollar Spot. I had some of those so that's what they are in now, but that is NOT working for me. I cannot see what I have. It's too inconvenient. I'm going to have to think of another solution...suggestions please! :)

I used two of my Ashley Brooke Designs mugs to store my gel pens and pencils. Most of the pencils are from the Target Dollar Spot. Those black and purple striped ones are from TJ Maxx. The gel pens are Gelly Rolls, Target store brand, and Staedtler Triplus fineliners. Those small rolls of washi tape are from Etsy stores. I'm still working on storing the full size rolls of tape.

This letter organizer is from TJ Maxx.

How cute is this Happy Pad? TJ Maxx, of course! :)

These are currently housing my stickers and labels. I'm not a fan of this system. I'm currently trying to find something that works better.

This adorable box came with a stationary set. I use it to keep sticky notes and page tabs.

I may start doing Plan with Me posts when I get a little better at it. It's still a work in progress. I hate the horizontal view that the Lilly Pulitzer agendas have so I'm excited to have the Erin Condren in a few weeks :)
I have been on somewhat of a scrub kick lately, y'all. Since starting to use a body scrub, I've seen such a big difference in my skin! I've tried out three this summer and I thought I would review them and share my thoughts with y'all!

I talked about this one in my June favs. This c.Booth sea salt scrub is an amazing dupe for Lush's Ocean Salt. The one by Lush cost $36, while this one is $7.19. I like it even better that Ocean Salt! It's my favorite of all the body scrubs.

There are tons of grains that help exfoliate and get rid of dead skin. It is amazing! And it smells pretty good, too!

The Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub is also really good! The grains aren't as big as the one by c.Booth, but it works just as well. This one lasts a little longer than the other too. It's thicker than the Sea Salt, and takes a little more effort to rub over your skin. The passion fruit and guava smells delicious!

This polishing body scrub by Yes to Coconut was such a disappointment! There was hardly any exfoliating to it. It was more like a slimy, sloppy mess. And the smell wasn't great either. I like a good coconut scent that reminds me of tanning oil and the beach, but this wasn't like that. It was just an over all bad scrub.

Do y'all use body scrubs? I'd love to hear your favs! :)

I've always been a planner. I love using an agenda to map out my week, but I had no idea decorating your agenda was an actual 'thing'. I was browsing on youtube this week, looking for new beauty people to watch (let me know your favs! I'm on the lookout for new inspiration!) and I was watching Elle Flower's channel when I saw her Glam Planning video on the sidebar. I decided to click on it and wow! I never thought about actually using stickers and washi tape to decorate each week! How neat is that?? I was hooked! I ended up going to Target Sunday to search the Dollar Spot and I found some neat little things. I may have also went a *little* crazy in some Etsy shops purchasing cute stickers! Thank goodness several shops were closed!
Here are my favorite planning videos. Most use the Erin Condren Life Planner and I've thought about purchasing it. My Lilly Pulitzer runs out in December, so I'm going to have to find something else to use then but I'm not completely sold on the EC. Do you have a recommendation? I'd love to hear it!!!

Let me start off by saying I did not use all these products in one month! I've just been collecting products since I blogged about my last empties, so this is more like 2 and 1/2 months of products! I didn't realize how much I used up until I started taking pictures. :)

The brand smells exactly like Soap and Glory! I mean exactly! It's a UK brand, but I always find it at TJ Maxx.

I'm always so happy to finish a BBW lotion because I tend to buy way too many and leave them sitting in my cabinets. I feel accomplished when I finish one haha!

The Olay Advanced Ribbons body wash is one of my absolute favorites. It's such a creamy, rich lather and fills your bathroom with the most delicious aroma. I love, love, love this one!

I love to use a coconut oil/honey hair mask, but they are messy! I found this little sample at Walgreens and decided to try it for the week instead. (I typically only do a deep hair mask once a week). It smells great and made my hair super soft. I didn't fix my hair afterwards, so I don't know if it would have made it flat or not, but overall I was pleased with this.

This is one of my favorite summer scents. I first used a tube of this when I watched Lost on Netflix, so the smell always reminds me of that. :)

Soaps are soaps, so I just go off of the smell and Endless Weekend from BBW is fabulous. Plus, the font on the packaging is gorgeous!

I've become obsessed with body scrubs recently and plan on doing a separate post about my favorites. I did love this one from Soap and Glory, but now I've found several (like this one and this one) that I prefer over The Scrub of Your Life (and are cheaper!)

I don't know where the picture for the shampoo one went, but I used both up and LOVE them! I always saw this on Pinterest and thought it was actually horse shampoo (#blondemoment). When I found it Walgreens, I decided to try it and it is now my favorite shampoo/conditioner combo.

This little product is actually found in the baby section over Target, but after seeing Ingrid use it I decided to test it out. I used it as a foot cream at night. It worked great, but I think Vaseline would be the same thing.

I have to be careful about conditioners because most weigh my hair down. Clear is always a good one for my hair. I always find myself going back to this one.

I LOVE the way Dove products smell, but their shampoos and conditioners just don't like my hair. I thought their new Oxygen Moisture might be different, but sadly it wasn't.

I really want to try some new make up remover wipes, but my skin is really picky about them! These are the only ones that I've  found that don't break me out. If you haven't any suggestions for ones I should try, let me know!

I mentioned this one in my favorites post, but this is the most amazing little product. I'll talk more about it in my body scrub post, but it is an amazing dupe for Lush's Ocean Salt.

After running out of the C. Booth scrub, I tried this one and love it almost as much!

Sometimes I get in a mood where I want to use a shaving cream instead of just body wash. I tend to always go with this shaving cream, but I'm looking to try a new one. Anyone got a favorite?

I bought this back in March, along with the self tanner that went with it. I haven't used all of the self tanner, but let me tell you: I HATE this product! It was more slimy than exfoliating. And it had a terrible scent. I was just all around disappointed with this one.

I love the diamond powder scent of the Nivea body washes. It isn't the most moisturizing, but it's a great scent!

That's all the products I've used up in the few months. Have you tried any of these products? I'd love to hear about your thoughts on them! Thanks for reading! :) :)
